SHOOTING STAR DRAGON

■In a Karakuri Machina Plant Deck you can summon this card very easily on your first turn. First activate Foolish Burial, send Dandylion to the graveyard to special summon two "fluff tokens". Summon Lonefire Blossom play the effect and summon Glow-Up Bulb or use One for One, or just summon normally if you already have Glow-Up Bulb in your hand. Tune with one of the tokens to summon Formula Synchron and draw a card. Special Summon Machina Fortress by using its effect to discard with another machine type monster from your hand ,next summon Glow-Up Bulb from the graveyard with it's effect, tune them together to summon Stardust Dragon synchro again for Shooting Star Dragon. To Recap all you need in your hand is Foolish Burial, Machina Fortress, another Machine type monster and Glow-Up Bulb or Lonefire Blossom or One for One( you will need an extra monster for One for One) Most hands in this deck will set you up nicely for this combo most of the time.
■Activate "One for One", by discarding "Dandylion",to Special Summon "Spore" while two Fluff Tokens appear. Then Normal Summon a Level 3 or 4 non-tuner. Tune "Spore" with "Fluff Token" to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Special Summon "Spore" with its effect and by removing "Dandylion", Spore becomes Level 4. Tune "Spore" with the Level 4 monster or "Spore" with the level 3 monster and the last "Fluff Token" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Then, tune this card.
■One of the easiest way to Special Summon this card is to use "Flamvell Firedog" and "Cursed Prison", destroy any monster by battle with Flamvell Firedog, after that, Special Summon Flamvell Magician, Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon, if "Cursed Prison" has been on your field for a turn, you can immediately activate it's effect to Special Summon "Formula Synchron." Next turn, "Shooting Star Dragon" is ready for battle.
■Activate "One for One", by discarding "Gigaplant" or another level 6 PLANT monster, to Special Summon "Spore". Then Normal Summon "Evil Thorn", and tribute it to special summon two more from the deck. Tune "Spore" with "Evil Thorn" to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Special Summon "Spore" with its effect and by removing "Gigaplant", or the level 6 monster from play; Spore becomes Level 7. Tune "Spore" with the other "Evil Thorn" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Then, tune this card.
■You can easily summon this card if you have synchro summoned "Majestic Star Dragon" onto your field. Since Majestic Star Dragon returns back to the "Extra Deck" during the End Phase, you can activate "Synchro Change" to remove it and special summon "Shooting Star Dragon" in return. Although this costs not activating its effect during that turn and summoning back "Stardust Dragon" from the "Graveyard".
■This card can be easily Summoned in one turn using only 2 cards if "Formula Synchron" is already in your Graveyard. Special Summon "Cyber Dragon", "Oracle of the Sun" or "Vice Dragon", from your hand, then Normal Summon "Junk Synchron" and use its effect to revive "Formula Synchron". Then, using "Junk Synchron" and the Level 5 monster, Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Finally, tune "Formula Synchron" and "Stardust Dragon" to summon this card. You can also use Instant Fusion to provide the level 5 monster.
■If you have "Stardust Xiaolong" and one level 1 tuner in your graveyard you can use the above combo, just special summon the level 1 tuner with "Junk Synchron", then, when "Stardust Dragon" is summoned you can special summon "Xiaolong" from the graveyard and synchro with the Level 1 tuner for "Formula Synchron".
■You can use "Rekindling" to summon this card by Summoning "Flamvell Baby", "Flamvell Poun", "Flamvell Magician" and "Flamvell Firedog". Tune "Flamvell Baby" and "Flamvell Poun" to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Then, tune "Flamvell Magician" and "Flamvell Firedog" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Finally, tune "Formula Synchron" and "Stardust Dragon" to Synchro Summon this card.
■"Synchro Change" and "Starlight Road" can quickly summon "Stardust Dragon", making this card's summoning fairly easier.
■You can also decrease "Stardust Dragon"'s Level to Special Summon "Level Eater". Then, remove from play "Stardust Dragon" to Special Summon "Different Dimension Spirit". Next, tune "Different Dimension Spirit and "Level Eater" into "Formula Synchron", and draw a card. During the next Standby Phase, "Stardust Dragon" returns to the field. Finally, during your opponent's Main Phase, you can tune "Formula Synchron" and "Stardust Dragon" into "Shooting Star Dragon".
■You can easily Synchro Summon this monster in a Quickdraw Dandywarrior deck. You need to have a "Lonefire Blossom" on the field along with a "Dandylion". Tribute "Lonefire Blossom" and Special Summon another "Lonefire Blossom". After, tribute "Dandylion" by the effect of "Lonefire Blossom" and Special Summon "Spore". "Dandylion"'s effect will Special Summon 2 Fluff Tokens. Tune Spore with a Fluff Token (1+1=2) to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Draw 1 card with "Formula Synchron" effect. Then, use "Spore"'s effect removing a "Lonefire Blossom" from your Graveyard. Spore will be Level 4 (1+3=4). Tune "Spore" along with "Lonefire Blossom" and the Fluff Token to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon" (4+3+1=Cool. Last, tune Formula Synchron with "Stardust Dragon" to Synchro Summon "Shooting Star Dragon".
■This card is fairly easy to summon in a "Lightsworn" Deck. All you need is "Glow-Up Bulb", "Spore" and "Plaguespreader Zombie" in your Graveyard and "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" and "Foolish Burial" in your Hand as well as a "Dandylion" in your Deck (or "Dandylion" in your Hand and "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" in your Deck, doesn't matter). Use "Foolish Burial" to send "Dandylion" to the Graveyard, triggering its effect to Special Summon 2 Level 1 tokens. Then, activate "Plaguespreader Zombie's" effect, and place "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" on top of your Deck. Send the top card of your Deck to the Graveyard (which is "Wulf") to Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb" from the Graveyard and "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast", since you send it from the deck to the Graveyard. Tune "Glow-Up Bulb" with one of the tokens to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron" and draw a card. Remove "Dandylion" from your Graveyard to Special Summon "Spore". Tune "Spore" with "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Tune "Formula Synchron" with "Stardust Dragon" to Synchro Summon "Shooting Star Dragon". Since you didn't Normal Summon, you can summon any monster for another Synchro Summon, since "Plaguespreader Zombie" is still on the field (preferably "Lumina, Lightsworn Summoner" and discard a card to Special Summon "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" to Synchro Summon "Trishula, Dragon of the Ice Barrier", which will give you a nice card advantage.)
■It doesn't matter how "Dandylion" is sent to the Graveyard. You could also send it there by activating cards like "Card Destruction" or "Destruct Potion", depending on where it is. Since "Monster Reincarnation" is often found in a "Lightsworn Deck", it would be a good choice to use if it's in your Hand. "Judgment Dragon" is also a good way to send it to the Graveyard if its on the field, since you'd wipe out the whole field, which could easily create an OTK, since "Shooting Star Dragon" and whatever other monsters you'll have (e.g "Judgment Dragon") will be able to attack directly.
■Try to get the cards to the Graveyard by using cards like "Solar Recharge" and "Charge of the Light Brigade". Since "Lightsworns" mill their deck pretty fast, this is also a good method to send your "Lightsworns" to the Graveyard and still have powerful monsters on the field, if your close to deck-out.
■If you don't have a Synchro Tuner monster, you can substitute it with "Lightwave Tuning" and "Armory Arm". Activate "Lightwave Tuning" on "Armory Arm" which now treated as a Synchro Tuner monster. Reduce the Level of the "Stardust Dragon" you control to 6 or your "Armory Arm" to 2 by using Demotion. Then, with both, you can Accel Synchro Summon a "Shooting Star Dragon".
■You can easily summon this card with just three cards in your hand "Debris Dragon", "One for One" and "Dandylion". Activate "One for One", discard "Dandylion", Special Summon a level one Tuner and the two "Fluff Tokens", tune one "Fluff Token" with the level one Tuner to summon "Formula Synchron", Normal Summon "Debris Dragon", Special Summon "Dandylion", now tune "Dandylion", "Debris Dragon" and the remaining "Fluff Token" to summon "Stardust Dragon", Special Summon two "Fluff Tokens" and tune "Stardust" with "Formula" to get "Shooting Star Dragon". Because of the drawing effect of "Formula Synchron" you technically only used two cards to summon "Shooting Star Dragon" and two "Fluff Tokens".
■Have at least one "Monarch" monster on the field other than "Zaborg the Thunder Monarch". Special Summon "Level Eater" from your Graveyard by lowering the Monarch's level by 1, then Normal Summon "Junk Synchron" to bring back a Level 1 Tuner. You can tune "Junk Synchron" with the "Monarch" to Summon "Stardust Dragon" then tune the Level 1 tuner with "Level Eater" to summon "Formula Synchron".
■This card is extremely easy to Summon in a Fish Deck. Summon "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" and use its effect to Special Summon: "Fishborg Blaster", "Deepsea Macrotrema", "Royal Swamp Eel" and any Level 4 Fish from your deck.
■Another variation of this move is Summon "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" and use its effect to Special Summon: 2x "Fishborg Blaster" and "Deepsea Macrotrema" from your deck. You can use "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" (Level 7) and "Fishborg Blaster" (Level 1) to summon "Stardust Dragon" and "Fishborg Blaster" and "Deepsea Macrotrema" for "Formula Synchron".
■A third variation of this is: Using "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth's" effect, summon "Royal Swamp Eel" and "7 Colored Fish"/"Abyssal Kingshark"/"Golden Flying Fish"/"Metabo-Shark" and "Oyster Meister" and "Fishborg Blaster". Synchro summon "Stardust Dragon" using "Royal Swamp Eel" and "7 Colored Fish"/"Abyssal Kingshark"/"Golden Flying Fish"/"Metabo-Shark". Synchro summon "Armory Arm" using "Oyster Meister" and "Fishborg Blaster". Bring back "Fishborg Blaster" and synchro summon "Formula Synchron" using the "Oyster Token" and "Fishborg Blaster". Synchro summon "Shooting Star Dragon" using "Formula Synchron" and "Stardust Dragon". It's probably best to equip "Armory Arm" to "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" so that it can stay on the field longer, as compared to equipping to "Shooting Star Dragon", who will send an equipped "Armory Arm to the Graveyard if "Shooting Star Dragon" uses its attack negation effect (its third effect).
■This card can be summoned using 3 "Tuningware"(in the deck), "Turbo synchron", "Debris Dragon", "One for one" and "Machine duplication". Use "One for one" to discard "Turbo synchron" and special summon "Tuningware", activate machine duplication to get 2 more Tuningwares from your deck then summon "Debris dragon" and revive "Turbo synchron", tune "Turbo synchron" and "Tuningware" for "Formula synchron" allowing you to draw 2 cards then tune "Debris dragon" and the 2 remaining "Tuningwares" to summon "Stardust Dragon" and draw 2 cards then tune "Stardust Dragon" and "Formula Synchron" to summon "Shooting Star Dragon". With this you use 4 cards from your hand to summon "Shooting Star Dragon" and draw 4 cards.
■This card is easy to summon in a teched Scrap deck. Special summon "Scrap Beast" with "Scrap Golem". Then lower Golem's level to special summon "Level Eater". Then tune Golem and Beast together to synchro summon "Stardust Dragon". Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb" and tune with "Level Eater" for "Formula Synchron".
■When you have Monster Reborn or a similar card and Lonefire Blossom in your hand, and another Lonefire Blossom,a Spore and a Dandelion in your Deck, first summon Lonefire Blossom, then activate its effect and tribute it to summon the second Lonefire Blossom from your deck, then activate Monster Reborn to revive the first Lonefire Blossom and tribute it again for its effect to summon Dandelion, which has to be tributed for the second Lonefire Blossoms effect to summon Spore. This will also give you two Fluff-Tokens. Tune one token with spore for Formula Synchron and draw a card, then activate Spores effect, by selecting Lonefire Blossom. Then tune Lonefire Blossom, the remaining token and the now Level 4 Spore to summon Stardust dragon. Then tune Stardust dragon and Formula Synchron to summon Shooting star dragon.
■You can Synchro Summon this card easily with "Debris Dragon" and "Doppelwarrior" in your hand, and one "Glow-Up Bulb" in your Graveyard. Normal Summon "Debris Dragon, then use its effect to Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb" from your Graveyard, then Special Summon "Doppelwarrior" from your hand. Tune "Debris Dragon" and "Doppelwarrior" to Synchro Summon any Level 6 Dragon-type Synchro Monster. Special Summon 2 Doppel Tokens. Tune "Glow-up Bulb" with one "Doppel Token" to Synchro Summon "Formula Synchron". Special Summon "Glow-Up Bulb" from your Graveyard via its effect. Tune "Glow-up Bulb" with one "Doppel Token" to Synchro Summon another "Formula Synchron". Tune one "Formula Synchron" with the Level 6 Dragon-type Synchro Monster to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Tune the other "Formula Synchron" with "Stardust Dragon" to Summon this card.
UsingEdit■You can prevent your opponent from removing from play this card by using "Imperial Iron Wall", making this card much harder to get rid of. But note that you will not be able to use this card to negate attacks if you do so.
■Equip this card with "Silver Wing" to make this card extremely powerful, together with its own negation ability.
■You can create an OTK with this card providing your opponent has no monsters and you pick up at least 3 Tuner monsters. Use cards like "Plaguespreader Zombie" to top-deck Tuner monsters from your hand.
■You can try using "Spell Chronicle" and "Future Fusion" for "Chimeratech Overdragon" to stack the top of the deck with tuners to use it's multi-attack ability.
■"A Feather of the Phoenix" will ensure that you have a tuner up on top.
■During your Battle Phase or your opponent's Battle Phase, you can use "Urgent Tuning" to Accel Synchro Summon this card if "Formula Synchron's" effect is negated.
■You should use cards that return tuner monsters from your graveyard to your deck like "Pot of Avarice", "A Prayer to Gusta", "Des Feral Imp", "Emperor Sem", "Eviritua Mind Ogress", "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord", "Genesis Dragon", "Pot of Benevolence", "Psychic Overload", "R-Genex Ultimum" or "The Transmigration Prophecy".
■this combo is specially effective in a Gusto Deck, since they can return Tuner monsters to the deck easily, giving this card the chance of attacking at least two or even three times if possible.
CounteringEdit■To Destroy this card, the best way is to use "Divine Wrath" in your deck, to ensure effectiveness be sure to add another copy of the same card.
■Use "Skill Drain" to negate this card's effect and then use destruction cards.
■This card's second and third effects makes it relatively hard to destroy this monster.
■One option is to use 2 destruction cards, like "Smashing Ground", "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter", "Raigeki Break" etc.), 1 Remove from play card (like "Karma Cut", "Caius the Shadow Monarch", etc.)
■Another is to activate a card to return it to the Extra Deck. Cards like "Compulsory Evacuation Device", "Penguin Soldier", "Raiza the Storm Monarch", "Abyss Soldier", "Brionac, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" can complete this task.
■Another is to activate a card that sends cards to the graveyard but does not destroy it, like "Crystal Abundance", "Dark End Dragon", "Codarus", etc.
■To counter this card effectively, use Counter Traps. "Shooting Star Dragon" cannot activate its effect in chain because Counter Traps have a higher Spell Speed.
■This card bears the same weakness as cards with similar self-removal effects: namely, by using "Burial from a Different Dimension" (or cards with similar effects) once this card has been removed by its own effect. You will force this card into the Graveyard and prevent its return to the field.
